Tools and materials:
- Hair tie
- Large claw clip
1. Make a low ponytail
Collect all of your hair into a low ponytail and secure it with a hair tie.
2. Flip your ponytail up and attach your claw clip
Pull your ponytail up, laying it on top of your head. Then attach the claw clip about 2” above the hair tie.
3. Split the tail and add the hair to the claw clip
Split the tail and pull each half down, along the sides of the claw clip.
Now, with one hand holding the ends of your hair, open the claw clip with your other hand and shove the ends into the clip, one side at a time.
4. Finishing touches
Use your fingers to carefully spread and pinch at the hair at the top of the claw clip to achieve the shape you like.
Here’s the final result for this claw clip hack:
I love to leave out some face-framing pieces of hair in the front as well.
