These Unusual Makeup Hacks Will Transform Your Look

Hey guys! I love a good makeup hack. Here are some of my favorite viral makeup hacks to keep you looking your best.

Tools and materials: 

• Contour stick
• Highlighter stick
• Liquid foundation
• Blush
• Eyeshadow
• Lip liner
• Blending brushes
• Blending sponges
• Tape
• Business card

1. Contour do's and don’t 

Do: Apply contour to the top of the cheekbone.

Don’t: Apply contour to the middle or bottom of the cheekbone.

Do: Apply a bit of highlighter under the inner and outer corners of the eye. Highlight out and up from the corner of the mouth, and above the arch of the eyebrow.

Don’t: Apply highlighter to the entire under-eye area.

Do: Apply blush above the contour at the top of the cheekbone.

Don’t: Apply blush below the cheekbone.

2. Fuller vs slimmer face

Fuller: Use your contour stick to draw a “U” shape under the cheekbone.

Slimmer: Draw a diagonal line from the edge of the cheekbone down past the bottom of the lips.

Fuller: Add a circle of blush to the center of the “U”.

Slimmer: Add a line of blush along the edge of the contour by the cheekbone.

Fuller: Contour around the top of the forehead.

Slimmer: Contour above the eyebrow.

3. Concealer face-lift

Apply concealer from the inner corner of the eye diagonally up and out over the eyebrow.

Apply along the side of the nose.

Apply to the inner and outer corners beneath the eye. Extend out and up towards the edge of the eyebrow.

Draw lines going diagonally up from the nostril and up from the bottom edge of the lip line.

Highlight under the contour at the bottom edge of the face.

Highlight the center of the chin and the area beneath the nose.

5. Contour technique

Draw a contour line from the edge of the face along the area beneath the cheekbone.

Contour the bottom of the nose and the bottom edge of the face continuing down to the neck.

Contour the outer edges of the nose.

Contour under the eyebrows and the top of the forehead.

Highlight under the eyes, out from under the mouth, and the center of the chin and forehead.

Highlight the length of the nose and the area just underneath the edges of the eyebrows.

6. Tape contour

Apply tap from ear to ear, down into the mouth.

Brush on some light contour above the tape and remove the tape.

7. Double chin contour

Apply dark contour to the double chin and blend.

8. Model cheekbones

Contour under the cheekbone.

Extend the line down towards the side of the chin.

Contour along the bottom of the jaw.

Add highlighter to the cheek just above the contour, and blend.

9. Color correction

If the foundation is too dark, apply a light concealer.

If your foundation is too light, apply some bronzer.

10. Gradient effect

Apply the lightest highlighter under the eyes, above and below the mouth, and to the center of the forehead.

Take a slightly darker shade highlighter and apply to the sides of the first highlighter.

Apply your contour outside those edges.

11. Round face simple contour

Contour around the bottom of the cheekbone.

From the bottom center of that line contour down.

12. Concealer hack

Use a concealer stick to trace around the sides of the nose, along the center of the face, and under the eyes.

Draw lines out from under the mouth up towards the edges of the face.

13. Contour hack

Draw a line under the cheekbone and make 3 short lines going upwards.

Add some lines along the edges of the forehead and along the jawline.

14: Do's and don’t

Don’t: Simply apply a sharp line of contour just below the cheekbone.

Do: Apply contour, blend out, then use a sponge to apply some highlighter just below.

This will create a lifting effect.

15. Quick contour

Apply a small circle of contour to the hollow of the cheek and blend out.

16. Bright blush

Apply blush just underneath the inner corner of the eye.

Add some highlighter just below.

17. Shape

Apply contour to the outer edges of the face, down the neck, the sides of the nose and along the hollow of the cheek.

Add highlighter to the center of the forehead, under the eyes and around the edges of the nose.

Highlight the center of the chin, below the contour on the cheeks and along the length of the nose. 

18. Foundation hack

Mix foundation in water. Then apply it to the face with a big brush.

19. Concealer face-lift

Draw diagonal lines up from above the inner eye up and over the brow with concealer.

Apply along the inner corner of the eye and up from the outer corner.

Draw from the nostril up along the cheekbone.

Draw up and out from the bottom corner of the mouth.

20. “W” blush

Use your blush to draw a “W” from one side of your cheekbone, across to the other, with the center point peaking on the top of the nose.

21. Eyeliner hacks

Dip the edge of a business card into some foundation. Use it to make a straight line for applying eyeliner.

Or, draw with eyeliner on the edge of a triangular sponge to apply a straight line.

22. Oval lips

Use lip liner to draw an oval line over the corners of the top lip.
