Tools and materials:
- Felt tip eyeliner
You can use any felt-tip eyeliner you have for this technique. You'll notice that felt tip eyeliners are much sturdier and less flexible than brush eyeliners, which makes them ideal for stamping.
1. Stamp the tip
First, hold your eyeliner pen with the pointed tip facing outward. Next, gently stamp the tip in the very outer corner of your eye. It’s that simple, and you’ll already have the beginning of a wing.
2. Extend the wing
You can now extend or clean up that wing as much as you want.
3. Stamp lash line
Now, for applying the eyeliner along your lash line, make sure to hold the pen flat against your lash line rather than pointing it upwards or downwards.
Use your lash line as a guide, and gently stamp the pen along it. By laying the pen flat, your lash line helps position the eyeliner precisely, making the application effortless. That’s all there is to it.
4. Connect to wing
Next, connect this to the outer wing. You can extend the liner as much as you like towards the inner corner to refine and sharpen the look.
This way, you achieve a clean, sharp eyeliner by stamping with the felt tip instead of using it as a brush.
5. Stamp other eye
You might think, "It’s easy to do it on one eye, but how about the other?" I’ll show you how simple it is. First, stamp the eyeliner in the outer corner of the second eye and refine it.
Next, lay the pen flat against your lash line and stamp it from the inner to the outer corner. Connect it to the wing and tidy up the inner corner. That’s all there is to it.

Here is the finished look. I hope you like this winged eyeliner hack! Since my eyes are uneven—my left eye is slightly smaller than my right—the eyeliner might appear a bit different on each eye.
However, because I kept the eyeliner small, the difference is minimal. Significant differences usually become more noticeable with larger wings or more dramatic eyeliner, especially if your eyes are uneven like mine.
