Tools and materials:
- Hair ties
- Bobby pins
- Ribbon (24 inches or longer)
1. Pull and twist
Pull the sides of your hair to the back and tie them together in a loose half-ponytail. Then flip the ends up and through the top to create a twist.
Pull at the edges of the twist to create more volume.
2. Add the ribbon
Take a ribbon and thread it halfway through the half-ponytail so the ends hang down in equal lengths.
3. Braid
Braid your hair with the ribbon joining 2 of the 3 sections.
Tie it at the bottom and tug at the edges of the braid to add volume.
4. Bun
Wrap the braid around itself creating a braided bun. Secure it with a hair tie.
5. Finishing touches
Wrap the ends of the hair around the base of the bun to cover the hair tie and use bobby pins to hold them in place.
