Tools and materials:
- Brush/comb
- Hair elastics
- 6-8 feet of ribbon (depending on hair length)
1. Getting started
Comb your hair and make sure it’s detangled and parted down the middle. Take a small section of hair from one side above the forehead.
2. Ribbon braid
Wrap a ribbon around the base of the sectioned-off hair and then braid the hair, incorporating the ribbon into the braid.
Move the braid aside and clip it out of the way.
3. French braid
Make a French braid on the same side of the hair as the braid. Tie off the French braid halfway back for a half-up style. Tug at the sides of the French braid to add volume.
4. Combine
Move the braid back centering it over the middle of the length of the French braid.
Use the ribbon to attach the braids and make a bow.
5. Repeat
Repeat these steps on the opposite side.
6. Finishing touches
Take the ends of the braids and tie them together at the back of the head making a half ponytail.
