French Twist Updo Hair Tutorial 🌸
Welcome to this easy French twist updo hair tutorial. I’m so excited to show you guys how to create this classic hairstyle. It is the perfect look for a formal event.Â

Tools and materials:Â
- 2 hair elastics
- Hairpins
1. Ponytail
Pull all of your hair back into a ponytail. Tie the hair elastic around twice. Leave the ponytail a bit loose.
2. Twist
Pull the hair elastic down just enough to stick two fingers in to open a section of hair within the ponytail.Â
Use your other hand to pass the length of the ponytail to the fingers at the opening and pull the ends through creating a twist at the base of the ponytail.Â
Separate the ends and pull to tighten things up.
3. Tiny bun
Take the ends of the ponytail and wrap a second hair elastic around them about two inches from the end.
Don’t pull the ends completely through the last time you wrap the elastic. This will create a tiny bun-like effect.Â
4. Tuck and roll
Take the tiny end bun and begin rolling it into itself towards the base of the ponytail.Â
Roll the hair until it’s up against your head by the base of the ponytail.Â
Then use hairpins to secure it in place.
Tug a bit at the sides of the wrapped hair to add some volume.
