Tools and materials:

1. Prepping the skin

Let's start with the base. I've already applied my favorite SPF50 moisturizer. This is great for making the skin look its best and prevent premature aging.

2. Applying foundation

Now, for the foundation. I’ll be using a damp sponge that came in an adorable coffee pot-like container. When dampened, it becomes super soft and grows about a third in size.

Today, I'm using a luminous foundation. Because I have some color on my chest, I'll mix it with a bit of a sun-kissed face gel, which adds a bronzed glow.

Mix these two to match the undertone of your skin without going too dark. Apply the foundation mixture in two thin layers, bouncing the damp sponge on your skin and taking it down your neck. Don't forget to cover your eyelids too for a neutral base.

3. Concealer

Next, I’m applying a lightweight concealer. This concealer adds coverage without being thick or heavy. It's perfect for subtle areas like around the nose and under the eyes, where it lifts shadows and brightens up the skin.

For deeper coverage in areas like the inner corners of the eyes, I use a more heavy-duty concealer with a small fluffy brush. This helps neutralize any redness and dark spots, making your eyes look more awake.

4. Brows

For brows, I’m sticking with my trusty brow pen in a cool shade. But I'm also going to try a new brow product with a tiny comb that coats every single hair and keeps them in place all day.

5. Contouring

I'm using my favorite contour stick for a nice, lightweight sculpt. It has a buttery texture that blends beautifully, especially if you haven't set your foundation yet.

Use a small brush to blend a bit of foundation into the bristles first; this will help with the blending process. You can always go over it with your damp sponge to perfect the look.

6. Set the face

To set my face, I'm using a finely milled powder for an airbrushed finish.

If you have an oily T-zone, you might want something more heavy-duty, but I prefer this one for its lightweight feel. I can always touch it up throughout the day, if needed.

7. Bronzing

Next up is bronzer. I'm using a creamy bronzer with an angled brush to lightly sculpt over the contoured areas. Tap off the excess product and lightly go over where you applied the contour so you don't apply too much product.

8. Eyeliner and lashes

Since today's look doesn't involve eyeshadow, I'm focusing on a winged liner. If a winged liner isn't your style, you can use a pencil or a soft brown eyeshadow to define the outer third of your eye.

Curl your eyelashes well before applying your favorite liquid eyeliner under the top lash line for a subtle effect. I also like to darken the roots of my lashes for a sultry finish.

For mascara, start with a lash primer to maximize your natural lashes, then follow with your favorite mascara. You can leave it here or add individual lashes for extra volume and femininity.

9. Blush

Moving back to the skin, I'm using a blush duo with both cream and powder options. Start with the cream blush on the back half of your cheeks, then set it with the matching powder blush for extra color and staying power.

10. Lips

For the lips, I'm keeping it light and summery with a gloss in a natural shade. I mix two colors, one on the top lip and one on the bottom, then blend them together for a beautiful glossy finish.

11. Faux freckles

To complete the look, I'm adding a few faux freckles for a fun, summery vibe.
