7-Minute Soft Summer Makeup Look Tutorial

Tools and materials:

• Primer 
• Eye primer
• Lip primer
• Beauty balm
• Makeup brush
• Concealer
• Translucent powder
• Eyeshadow
• Mascara
• Lip liner
• Lipstick

1. Prime face

Start off by prepping your face by applying primer, eye primer, and lip primer. Give them some time to sink into your face and dry.

2. Beauty balm

Now, apply a light beauty balm. Put a few little pumps on your hand and then feather it onto your face with your fingers to begin with.

Then, use a brush in circular movements to smooth it out and make sure it’s blended in.

3. Concealer

Next, apply concealer with a brush onto the different parts of your face that need more coverage.

If you’re over age 50, like me, you’ll be applying it to the broken veins and the age spots.

4. Translucent powder

After the concealer, we’re going to apply the translucent powder in circular movements again with a big brush.

This will help to set the rest of the makeup.

5. Eyeshadow

For eyeshadow, we’re going to use a soft purple trio. I like to swish the brush all over the three colors and then apply that all over my eyelid.

Blend it in as much as you can. The purple colors perfectly complement the pink in my top.

6. Mascara

Next, apply some mascara. If you have eyelash curlers at hand, you can curl your lashes first.

7. Lip liner

Now, go around the edges of your lips with some strawberry lip liner.

Start at the bow of your lips and work your way outwards. Then, fill your lips in. 

8. Lipstick

The last step is to apply some fuchsia long-lasting lipstick which is a lovely bright color for summer.

Blot your lipstick after you’ve applied it to get rid of any excess.

And there we have our finished summer makeup look. I wanted to keep the eye makeup rather simple and have the attention on the lips as I wear sunglasses a lot of the time.

I love the bold fuchsia color and am really happy with how the whole look turned out.
