Three eyeshadow colors on fingers

My goal is to make my smaller lid space appear bigger and elongated. For this reason, I’ll be swiping the eyeshadow diagonally, toward my lashes.

1. Apply makeup tape

Apply makeup tape to mark the boundary of a winged shape.

2. Apply 3 eyeshadow shades to your fingers

Apply brown eyeshadow on your index finger, a shimmery blue shade on your middle finger and a cream color on your ring finger. It doesn’t have to be in this order–you can do whatever order you prefer.

3. Apply eyeshadow diagonally

Rub on the brown eyeshadow along the tape, from your brow bone toward your lashes.

Next, apply the blue shimmer eyeshadow parallel to the brown, slightly overlapping it. It doesn’t have to be perfect since we’ll blend it out later.

Press the cream eyeshadow in the inner corner to brighten it up there.

4. Blend

Use a small blending brush to blend it at the crease and at each intersection of the colors. If you don’t have the right brush, you can use your finger. Then remove the tape.

5. Clean up

Use a large, fluffy brush to clean up any fallout.

Then use concealer to touch up under the brown and make it look sharp. Press with a makeup sponge to lightly blend it.

6. Apply eyeliner

Tightline with blue eyeliner. This will tie in nicely with the blue eyeshadow.

Then soften your lower lash line with brown eyeshadow.

7. Curl your lashes

Lift your lashes with an eyelash curler.

8. Apply mascara

Darken your natural lashes, both top and bottom, with mascara.

9. Apply false lashes

Use tweezers to carefully apply false lashes. Opt for a wispy style if you have a small lid space since this will allow you to see your eyelid through the lashes.

Here’s the final smokey eye look, and you can see my lid space isn’t covered and my eyes appear elongated.

10. Apply lip stain

Use a lip stain pen to line your lips, and then fill them in.
