Tools and materials:
- Apple cider vinegar with “the mother” included
- Baking soda
- Liquid measuring cup
- Plastic squeeze bottle
- Container
- Shampoo
1. Combine water and apple cider vinegar
Pour 2 parts water to 1 part apple cider vinegar in a liquid measuring cup.
This is not going to smell good, but trust me, it’ll be worth it!
Pour this into a bottle.
2. Measure baking soda and add your liquid mixture
Pour about ⅓ cup of baking soda into a container.
Then add in the water/apple cider vinegar mixture to create a paste. It’s going to fizz so pour slowly!
3. Shampoo
Hop in the shower and shampoo your hair. Treatments always absorb better on clean hair.
4. Apply the paste to your scalp
Apply the paste to your scalp while in the shower (it’s going to get messy!)
The paste is a natural exfoliant that will balance pH levels, cooling the scalp down and neutralizing any irritation.
5. Apply the apple cider vinegar and water mixture
Completely drench your “mids” and ends with the apple cider vinegar and water mixture.
You can just use this from your roots to your ends, but the baking soda just takes your scalp care to the next level.
5. Clean your hair
Thoroughly rinse off the paste and apple cider vinegar rinse from your hair. You might want to condition the ends too, but avoid your scalp.
