Tools and materials:
- Hair tie
1. Start making a half ponytail
Collect the crown portion of your hair and bring it to the back, smoothing the top as you go. Begin to secure it with a hair tie.
2. Twist the hair
Pull a loop bun through the hair tie.
Stick your fingers through the hair tie from underneath the hair and twist the hair.
Twist the hair another time with your fingers still in the hair tie.
3. Place and secure the half bun
With your hand still inside the hair tie, move this bunch of hair up to where you want the final, half bun to sit.
Then, use your other hand to stretch the hair tie and pull the mass of hair through it.
4. Finishing touches
Rotate the bun if it looks lopsided and gently pull at the sections to add volume.
Also, gently pull the hair before the hair tie on the sides of the head to spread it out if necessary. What do you think about this easy, half-up hairstyle?
