Quick and Easy Low Bun Tutorials for Any Length of Hair

In this easy low bun tutorial, I’ll show you how to move away from a traditional bun by twisting your hair, wrapping it around itself, and securing it with a hair tie.

Today, I’ll share two easy methods for creating a chic low bun that looks much better. Let’s get started!

Tools and materials: 

• Hair oil
• Bobby pins
• Hair tie 

First, I’m going to show you a great option for putting your hair in a bun, especially when you have longer hair, as I do.

1. Hair oil

Start by applying hair oil to make your hair extra sleek and give it a nice shine.

2. Twist hair to top

Now, twist your hair around your finger and bring it around the top.

3. Twist hair to bottom

Give it another twist, and then bring it towards the bottom.

4. Pull ends through hole

Push your fingers through the hole you’ve created near the base of your ponytail, then grab the ends and pull them through.

5. Tuck ends underneath

Then, push it firmly against your head. Next, take the ends of your hair, twist them and tuck them underneath the bun.

6. Secure bun

Use bobby pins to secure your bun in place, making sure that it's flat up against your head.

7. Pull on hair

Gently pull on the bun to make it more voluminous.

And there you have it, you have a beautiful sleek bun. I absolutely adore the way this looks.

Easy low bun hack for short hair

1. Separate ponytail into sections

Tie your hair in a ponytail and it it into two equal sections.

2. Twist hair

Twist those sections tightly around each other all the way down.

3. Wrap and pin

The key to this bun is to avoid wrapping all the hair around itself at once. Instead, wrap a little, pin it, then wrap a bit more and pin again.

So bring your twist up, and then pin it down.

4. Continue to wrap and pin

Then bring your twist around and pin it again. Continue doing this.

5. Pin down ends

Once you get to the end, you can twist them because they will have unraveled a little bit. Proceed to tuck the ends under the bun and pin them down.
