Take the Best Parts of a Damaged Top and Make THIS
I found a beautiful top at the thrift store, but it was damaged. Still, I couldn’t resist getting it, and finding a great way to repurpose it.
Follow along to see this amazing DIY bra top!
Tools and materials:
- Thrift store lace top
- Scissors
- Sewing pins
- Narrow seam binding
- Sewing machine
1. Pick out a perfect top
Here is the damaged lace top that I found at the thrift store. If you find something similar that’s too damaged to wear as a top, follow this DIY!
2. Design your DIY bra top
I started by cutting out all of the good lacy flowers from the damaged top.
Then, I arranged the flowers to create two layered bra cups, and pinned the layers together.
I also pinned the two cups together in the center.
3. Add straps
I used matching narrow seam binding to make straps for the DIY bra top.
And I pinned the straps to the top tips of each cup, and to each outer side.
4. Sew the DIY bra top
I used my sewing machine to sew all of the layers of the cups together, and sew the straps into place.
