8 Tips for LONG Lasting Curls
When you work so hard and create gorgeous curls, it’s a bit heartbreaking when they only last a few hours!
I’ve got good news! Actually, what I’ve got is 8 great tips to make your curls last longer.
Now you can work smarter, not harder.
Tools and materials:
- Curling appliance
- Bobby pins
- Hairspray
- Night bonnet
- Shower cap
1. Work small
When creating your curls, make sure to work with small sections of hair for the best, longest-lasting results.
2. Choose your curling appliance
Use only small to medium-sized curling appliances, for those small sections of hair.
3. Wrap flat
When you are wrapping your hair around a curling iron, make sure the hair stays float, so every turn is actually touching the heat from your iron.
4. Secure your curls
Secure each curl you make with a bobby pin, while the curl is still hot. Don’t let it cool off before securing it, or it won’t last long.
5. Use hairspray
Fix your curls immediately with a good, strong hairspray.
6. Cool before styling
Let your curls completely cool down before you remove the bobby pins.
Now you’re ready to style your curls!
7. Sleep on it
Yes, you can sleep on your curls. Just make sure to encase them in a soft, silk bonnet.
8. Protect your curls in the shower
Make sure to use a secure shower cap to keep your lovely curls dry and styled when you are showering.
