Turn Any Scarf Into a Summer Bag
If you’ve ever needed a summer bag in a hurry to match an outfit, this is for you!
I love to have a selection of square silk scarves in my closet in lots of different colorways.
Today, I’m going to show you how to turn any scarf into a bag in 10 seconds flat. And you don’t need anything else at all.
Tools and materials:
1. The scarf
For best results, your scarf should be at least 18 inches (45 cm) square. It can be as large as you like.
I love to use silk but any fabric will work as long as it’s not too bulky.
2. The first diagonal
Bring two diagonally opposite corners together.
Tie them tightly in a knot, close to the points.
3. Shoulder it
Put your arm through the loop and bring the knot up to sit on your shoulder.
Take hold of the two free corners, one in each hand.
Tie them into a knot like the first one.
Slip the scarf off your shoulder and untwist it.
How to turn any scarf into a summer bag
Slip your hand back through both loops and admire your new arm candy!
It will hold your phone, keys and sunglasses.
It’s the cutest summertime accessory and you can make as many of them as you have scarves.
