How to Fashionably Wear 2 Ties at Once
I bet you didn’t know that you could combine 2 ties for a surprisingly fashionable look! Follow along with this step-by-step tutorial to recreate this clever fashion hack with me.
Tools and materials:
- 2 ties
- Hair tie
- Brooch
1. Position the ties over your neck
Position the ties so that the wide tails lay on either side while the thin tails lay on the outside.
2. Tuck in the skinny tails
Adjust the wide tails so that they fall at the same length. Then tuck the skinny ends into the front of your pants or skirt, like suspenders.
3. Fold the tails up and secure with a hair tie
Line up the wide tails and fold them upward, toward your collar.
Squeeze them together with 1 hand and secure this with a hair tie.
4. Adjust the ends and attach a brooch
Pull the bottom tail so that it sticks out beyond the top tail.
Twist the hair tie around once more and hold the loop open in the front.
Then grab a small brooch and attach it, through the loop of the hair tie and through the fabric of the ties.
Make any final adjustments to the suspender straps and fluff out the wider pieces if necessary. Here’s the final look of this clever, fashion hack with 2 ties:
