Only two braids on the same side might sound strange, but this look is super fresh and stylish!


Switch up a boring straight style with this braided look. Let’s jump right into it.

Tools and materials:

  • Rubber bands
Creating rectangular section

1. Create a rectangular section

Starting with a middle part, create a rectangular section on one side of your head and tie it off with a rubber band.

Braiding

2. Braid the section

Braid the section with a simple three-strand braid. 

Clipping braid

Clip it away for now.

Creating second rectangular section

3. Create a second rectangular section

Create a second section with a similarly sized rectangle beneath the first section. 

Separating braid

4. Separate the braid to create a hole

Let down the braid and separate one of the braids to create a hole. 

Pulling section through hole

5. Pull the second section through the hole

Pull the second section through the hole you created.

Braiding

6. Braid the section

Braid the second section.
