Mermaidcore Nails: Quick and Easy Water Drop Design
For a cool new look, try this water drop nail design. I’ll show you, step by step, how to recreate these water nails.
Tools and materials:
- Faux nail set and stand
- Protective gloves
- Gel polish: dark blue, white
- Bubble gel
- Dotting tool
- Top coat
1. Paint the nails blue
Paint a thin layer of dark blue gel polish on each nail. Cure for about 20 seconds.
2. Paint white on top
Paint a thin layer of white gel polish over the blue. Don’t cure it just yet.
3. Make bubbles
Use a dotting tool dipped in bubble gel, gently press bubble shapes into the nail.
You can stick with an even pattern or make dots at random in varying sizes.
4. Apply a top coat
Paint over your bubble nails with a clear, top coat.
Give the nails a final cure and here is the result:
