Tools and materials:

  • Comb/brush
  • Scrunchies (2 regular, 1 fancy)
Creating a unique wabi-sabi hairstyle

1. Split and braid

Part your hair down the middle and separate one side with a scrunchy. Make a Dutch braid on the other side.

2. Add volume

When you get to the nape of the neck, hold the braid in place with a scrunchy. Use your fingers to tug at the edges of the braid to add volume.

3. Repeat

Repeat the above steps on the other side of the head, making a Dutch braid to the nape of the neck and pulling at the edges of the braid to add volume.

4. Join and finish

Instead of tying the second side with a scrunchy, join it with the other braid and remove the first scrunchy. Combine the hair and continue the braid down to the bottom.

Tie it off at the end with a stylish scrunchy and you’re all set.
