The Go-to Look This Summer
In this hair tutorial, I’m going to show you my go-to look for this summer.
It’s a hairstyle that is slicked back at the front and has a claw clip holding the hair up at the back.
Follow along as I walk you through the steps!
Tools and materials:
- Comb
- Hairbrush
- Hair tie
- Claw clip
1. Part hair
Begin by creating a side-parting.
2. Separate hair
Separate off your front section of hair and tie the rest back.
3. Brush front section
Brush the front section of your hair with a bristle brush so it’s nice and smooth.
4. Tie ponytail
Smooth the rest of your hair back and tie it into a ponytail. I left a few small curls out of the ponytail on either side because it looks cute.
5. Add claw clip
Hold your ponytail upwards at the back of your head and then fold it back down on itself (though if you have short hair, you might not need to do this) and add the claw clip.

Here is the finished look!
I really love how my hair is nicely slicked back at the front on either side and then neatly clipped up with a claw clip at the back. I added a little hair clip at the side for an accessory.
