Making Shorts Is Easy Thanks To This Step-by-Step Tutorial

Today I want to show you how easy making shorts can be. I’m giving you a free shorts sewing pattern in size 38 European (Small) for paperbag waist shorts with side pockets.

You can choose a different fabric for the contrast strips at the side, or do what I did and use the reverse side of the main fabric.

You can make the contrast stripes up to 3/4” inch (2 cm) wider to make the shorts a size Medium, but remember to increase the length of the waistband to match.

I like the subtlety of using the reverse of the fabric for the stripes, but a contrast color would also look good.
