1. Prepare the cleaning solution

In a bowl, mix one tablespoon of salt with one tablespoon of baking soda. These common household ingredients work together to gently clean and remove tarnish.

2. Add boiling water

Carefully pour boiling water into the bowl, enough to fully dissolve the salt and baking soda. The hot water helps to activate the cleaning agents and effectively clean your jewelry.

Place your gold and silver jewelry into the bowl, making sure each piece is fully submerged in the solution. Let the jewelry soak for about fifteen minutes. The solution will work to lift and loosen the tarnish.
