I love to use materials that would otherwise not get a chance to be something and these non edible fruits of a palm in Ecuador are too gorgeous to waste.

The range of colours and shapes mean so many options to design and create your own style of earrings.

I use round nosed pliers and jump rings to assemble the earrings easily. I choose lime green slices.

Round nosed pliers

I feed the jump ring into the pre drilled hole and bend it to be in right shape. Then you can can add as many rings as you prefer to get the length right for you.

Add jump rings

I prefer to use sterling silver ear hooks to prevent ear irritation for me. The type I use have a little hook which can be opened up easily with the round nosed pliers. Then I slot the jump ring in to it and close it up again to prevent the earring from falling off.

Add hook

I repeat the process for both earrings and love how fresh and bright they look. It’s good that they also come in so many colours too!

I’m really pleased with the final result .
