Easy DIY Under Eye Patches From Ingredients You Already Have
In this DIY, I’m going to show you three different cooling and brightening eye masks. With these DIY under-eye patches, you can say goodbye to tired-looking eyes and hello to eyes that look and feel refreshed and reinvigorated. Let’s jump on in!
Tools and materials:
- Tomatoes
- Cucumber
- Knife
- Bowl
- Blender
- Sieve
- Cotton rounds
- Scissors
- Turmeric
- Buttermilk
- Measuring cup
- Spoon
- Coffee
- Potato
- Ziploc bags
Cucumber eye mask
1. Cut vegetables
Cut a tomato and a few slices of cucumber.
2. Blend them
Then mix them in a blender and strain the mixture as we only want the liquid part, not the solids.
3. Cut cotton rounds
Cut a few cotton rounds in half to create half-moon shapes.
4. Soak cotton rounds
Soak the cotton rounds in the mixture.
To apply, place them under your eyes for 10-15 minutes. Cucumber along with tomato cools the eyes and lightens dark circles.
Turmeric eye mask
1. Mix ingredients
Mix ¼ cup of buttermilk and 1 tsp of turmeric in a bowl.
2. Cut and soak cotton rounds
Once again, cut the cotton rounds in half and soak them in the mixture.
To apply, place them under your eyes for 10-15 minutes. Buttermilk and turmeric work amazingly to soothe and brighten the under-eye area.
Coffee eye mask
1. Cut and blend potato
Cut a peeled potato into cubes and blend it to extract the juice. Then strain it to separate the liquid from the solids.
2. Mix with coffee
Pour the liquid into a bowl, add a teaspoon of coffee powder and mix well.
3. Cut and soak cotton rounds
Cut the cotton rounds in half and soak them in the mixture.
To apply, place them under your eyes for 10-15 minutes. Potatoes have great skin-brightening properties. The caffeine in the coffee helps to reduce the puffiness of the under-eye area.
You can store the eye masks in a Ziploc bag in the freezer for future use.
And there we have our three, easy to make, DIY eye pads. These patches clear dark circles, reduce puffy eyes and brighten the under-eye area.
