It’s so good that now on line so many available accessories are around for making diy hair clips. I found these blank bases that are so easy to glue lovely beads into.

Blank bases and beads

I love these millefiori glass beads as they are so so pretty and glue easily to the bases.

I use a two part epoxy resin that’s good for jewellery making to adhere bead to base with.

Glue

I mix equal pea sized resin and hardener into a dish and mix well. Quickly spread the layer onto the blank base as it hardens within a minute or so.

The fun part is choosing the desired combination of colours and designs to make your unique pair. It’s best to do this part before glueing so it’s ready to assemble.

Leave to dry

I spread the glue evenly onto the bases and lay the beads on close to

each other. Making sure that they are covering the base and in a straight line. To prevent the beads slipping off in the drying process I nestle them into a dish with ceramic pieces to keep them upright. You can find your own way to stabilise the clips.

i love how they are so colourful and unique.
