2 Ways to Wear the Current Apres Ski Style Trend

Winter is in full swing so it's a perfect time to try the Apres ski style trend! Pronounced ah-pray, it encompasses all things toasty that one would maybe wear skiing. The name alone evokes thoughts of sipping hot chocolate in a ski lodge, enjoying a beautiful mountain view next to a roaring fire. It is a simple style full of warmth, graphic cozy sweaters, fur anything, scarves, warm boots, quilted coats, and jackets. The latter is especially popular right now. Puffer coats are all the rage this season. With more of a glam flair, I styled this trend two different ways with polar opposite colors, black and winter white.

In the first outfit, I took a vintage fur-trimmed cardigan and added a fur hat and oversized cuffs. A smaller cuff would be more appropriate but I chose the larger ones just for dramatic effect. Adding a coat would hide the sweater's graphic detail, and would have been too warm. I chose coated denim jeans that give more warmth and go well with the look. Fur and quilted lace-up boots, with a basic black turtleneck sweater complete the look. You can never go wrong with a turtleneck to add great style.

In the second outfit, I went full on Bond girl as my husband calls it lol. There is something chic about a solid winter white outfit. A cable knit beret, fur lace-up boots, and a fur pom scarf. A quilted sweater jacket is a great alternative to a heavy coat.

Not an outfit to eat a spaghetti dinner but so warm and fun to wear nonetheless! To carry on the theme I brought our "sled dog" into the photo. He's the furriest and warmest thing I own lol.

This style trend gets a thumbs up from me! A basic graphic sweater and boots will also do the trick. Hope your version keeps you nice and warm!

Blessings,

Eden
