This DIY Heart Denim Design is EVERYWHERE
In this DIY, I am going to show you a heart design that you can create on your denim jacket.
We’re going to be drawing, cutting, and gluing, transforming a plain jacket into one full of style and personality. Let’s jump on in!
Tools and materials:
- Denim jacket
- Paper
- Pen
- Scissors
- Pearl adhesives (in two sizes)
1. Place hearts on jacket
First, cut out paper hearts of different shapes and place them where you would like them to go on the jacket.
These hearts will act as your template.
2. Draw around hearts
Next, draw around the hearts.
3. Cut hearts out
Then cut the hearts out.
4. Place pearls around heart
Now place pearl adhesives all the way around the outside of the heart.
They shouldn’t fall off, but if they do, you can always attach them back on with fabric glue.
You can use the same size pearls for all of the hearts if you like, but I am using larger pearls for the larger hearts and smaller pearls for the smaller hearts.

Here is the finished design, and it really is something special. The hearts with the pearl border look very feminine yet also a little bit edgy and different as well.
This is such a good way of breathing new life into an old denim jacket and transforming it with an uber-cool design.

I would have like to see the finished jacket being worn. Just a bit concerned about all those big holes and what it might look like with your clothes showing through.
