- Nail drill
- Ceramic nail drill bit
- Fan
1. Trim the excess
Use your nail drill with a ceramic drill bit to gradually slice off the excess nail tip or the overlay.
You can do a rough shape at first for each nail and then use the drill to file the nail tips into the desired shape.
Hold the long side of the drill bit parallel to the tip of the nail to achieve a straight tip.
2. File off the gel
Next, roll the ceramic drill bit across the gel polish until it’s removed and your nail is smooth.
Working over a fan at a low speed can be helpful to redirect the dust.
Turn your nails as you work to ensure that you reach all the gel polish.
