How to Style a Playsuit For Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter
You might think that a simple playsuit is just for summer. But follow along with this tutorial to learn how to style a playsuit all year round, by pulling pieces you already have from your wardrobe. Let's get started!
1. Spring playsuit outfit
During the spring months, mornings can still be a bit cool, so layer on a short denim jacket, and some ankle shooties.
What are shooties? They are a cross between a summer sandal and a boot – perfect to match with your playsuit in cooler spring weather!
If your playsuit is a bit too low cut for you, or for the season, just add a lace camisole underneath for a bit more coverage.
2. Summer playsuit outfit
A pair of tan strappy sandals and a straw crossbody bag will give an extra summery spin to your playsuit.
Add accessories that draw color from your playsuit, like the beige wrapped choker necklace I’ve used, and some light wood-tones hoop earrings.

3. Fall playsuit outfit
The playsuit alone doesn’t offer much warmth so in the fall, layer some coordinating stockings under it, and a coordinating snood scarf at your neck.
Now your legs are toasty warm as well as your open neckline.
You can take it up one more notch and add a little more warmth with a floppy felt hat and some knee-high boots. If that’s still not quite warm enough, slip on an anorak jacket.
4. Winter playsuit outfit
This is where it gets really interesting! Colder weather just means more layers, and you can certainly do that when you’re starting with a simple playsuit.
Try a turtleneck sweater and some warm stockings under the playsuit to keep you toasty warm. Go dramatic and add another layer of warmth for your legs with some thigh-high boots.
It is winter, so don’t forget a coat. Try a long white grid-pattern coat if you have a floral-patterned playsuit. The large grid pattern pulls the eye away from the floral pattern underneath so that the two patterns aren’t actually competing.
White is so nice and clean looking and much more cheerful than black – something everyone can use in the winter months.
Some coordinating jewelry and a pop of color in your handbag will complete the look beautifully!
